Lynn began sailing in 2002 by taking an ocean passage on Tethys from Hawaii to Seattle with all women crew. After that wonderful experience, she cruised around the Pacific Northwest and Canada in the summers for the next 4 years when the open ocean called again.  In 2006 having gained confidence and more experience, Lynn repeated the passage from Hawaii to Seattle  as First Mate on Tethys. Since then she has been sailing around the Pacific Northwest whenever she can and still yearns for open blue water. She is a member of the Hawaii Yacht Club and lives in Port Townsend, WA.

Lynn joined the NWSA board in 2007 and enjoys volunteering her time in activities which promote women in sailing.
