Becky learned to sail in 1980 and explored the Chesapeake with her husband on cruising vessels for 12 years.  From 1993 to 1998 she was on a sailing/working sabbatical throughout the Caribbean, Central America and the Florida Keys.  She and her husband, Rick Hobson, have two grown sons and even after living aboard for five years remain avid sailors.  An award winning public relations professional, Becky is the entertainment editor for Leader's Edge magazine and travel editor for Life Lines magazine, published by Sea Tow, International.
