We still have berths available and we're all very excited to be able to have the Mystic Whaler for this unique offering.  Latest program!  Introduction to Celestial Navigation.  Head to Ft. Lauderdale in November, when it may get a bit chilly in your neck of the woods, or just for a change of scenery. This is a weekend workshop lead by Julie Teetsov.  Julie has been conducting these sessions for several years.  If you've never handled a sextant and wondered just how the sailors got around centuries ago, sign up for this workshop.

 Plan your  2009 winter get-away!  In the sun.  NWSA is organizing a cruise in the British Virgin Islands February 22-28, 2009.  Those who commit and pay for the trip by August 1, 2008 will have a $200 savings.  Click here for the sign-up form and all the details.

January 2008.  Darthea Hoss Collins, of Hingham, Massachusetts, joined the board of NWSA and also was elected Secretary, filling the position left by the death of Sue Corl last March.  We are delighted to have Dar's enthusiasm for sailing and her extensive administrative experience.

September 14-16, 2007 - Learn to Navigate with a hands-on weekend on board the Schooner Mystic Whaler in Baltimore, MD. Sue LaVoie and Pat Dieselman shared extensive knowledge on navigation.

March, 2007. It is with sadness that we report of the death of our Secretary,Sue Corl earlier this year. 
Elizabeth S. ("Sue) Corl, NWSA Secretary, died at age 62, February 24th in Salem Hospital, Salem, MA following a lengthy illness. In Sue’s memory, donations may be made to the Women’s Sailing Foundation for the AdventureSail® program, 98 Washington Street, Marblehead, MA. 01945. Full obituary.
